FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
KING–VAUGHAN – Today, the Ontario PC Party announced that Stephen Lecce has been acclaimed as the party’s candidate for King–Vaughan in the next provincial general election.
Since first being elected, Stephen has been a strong voice for families, championing common sense values and delivering results that enhance quality of life across King and Vaughan. His hard work has supported the largest expansion of affordable energy in Ontario history, improved public transit with enhanced service at Maple, Rutherford and King City GO, and secured critical funding for York University’s medical school beside the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital. Along with two new long-term care homes, Stephen also delivered King Township’s largest infrastructure investment to build the new King Township Wide Recreation Centre, along with broadband investments to connect all rural neighborhoods in King and North Vaughan to high-speed internet.
“Stephen’s leadership has helped deliver key projects that are improving the quality of life for families in King–Vaughan,” said Doug Ford, Leader of the Ontario PC Party. “Whether it’s cutting gridlock with new highways, launching Ontario’s first medical school dedicated to primary care, or ensuring workers have access to better-paying jobs, Stephen is making life better for Ontarians. I’m proud to have him on our team as we continue to get it done for the people of this province.”
Stephen Lecce and the Ontario PC Party are working to address the unique needs of King–Vaughan by building essential infrastructure, creating new housing, keeping costs down, and ensuring local hospitals and emergency services meet the needs of a growing community. Stephen has led the charge against the Liberal carbon tax, standing up for affordability.
“As a generational voice in public service, I am deeply honoured to have the opportunity to continue serving the good people of King–Vaughan,” said Lecce. “I have tremendous pride in the community that I was raised in and where my family continues to live today. Together, we’ve expanded transit and highways, brought new housing, long-term care homes, schools, and jobs to our community, and launched a medical school right here in Vaughan. I often reflect on my family’s immigrant journey and humble beginnings, so this has been an honour of a lifetime to serve our community and country. I’m energized to keep delivering for families and building a more affordable, prosperous and secure future for every family and senior in King and Vaughan.”
